NFL draft

The Cleveland Browns went with Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick in the NFL draft. this was a surprising pick in the eyes of most draft experts as they thought that Sam Darnold out of USC was the best option for the Browns. then Cleveland continued to surprise everyone with taking corner back Denzel Ward out of Ohio State University. The draft was very exciting from a fans point of view because of all of the trades that happened. Many teams traded up so that they could draft what they hope to be their future franchise quarterback. there were also many surprise picks in the draft that made me scratch my head. But in my opinion the best part of the NFL draft was when linebacker Ryan Shazier made a surprise appearance and announced the Steeler's pick. This moment was the best in the draft in my opinion because of the back injury that Shazier suffered last year in a game.
  

Lebron vs Pacers

Lebron James by himself just took down the Indiana Pacers. Throughout the entire series Lebron was able to put the team on his back and carry them to victory. His series stats included averaging 34 peionts per game along with 10 rebounds and 8 assists. No other person on Lebron's team scored more than 20 points in a game which is unheard of especially in a series that went to seven games. The next series will be more of the same thing more likely, this time against the Toronto Raptors. This series will be interesting because Lebron after his game seven victory said how tired he was and how he just wanted to go home and rest. In game one look for Lebron to defer to his teammates and look for them to score instead of himself attacking early and often.

 

Warriors Vs Pelicans

This western conference match-up is shaping up to be one of the most interesting series of the playoffs thus far. the reigning NBA Champions will face a team who is one of the hottest teams in the league right now in the New Orleans Pelicans. This series will be interesting to see if Steph Curry will be back to full health in time for this series because if he isn't the Warriors could be in trouble. Rajon Rondo has been an assist machine thus far in the playoffs and in the series against the Blazers he averaged just over 13 assists per game. The match-up between Jrue Holiday and Klay Thompson because both are phenomenal two way players for their teams and will most likely be guarding each other throughout the game. And then the most major match-up in the series will be between Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant. this will be the most important match-up because both are the leading scorers on their teams and guarding each other might cause foul trouble for either of them hurting their team in the process because the coach might have to sit them. I think that Speph Curry is the game changer for the series because he adds another element to the Warriors game and without him i think that the Pelicans can easily pull off the upset and win this series. but if Steph is able to play i believe that the Warriors will end up winning the series in seven games.

Who is Terry Rozier

Following the Milwaukee Bucks loss to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday a reporter asked the Bucks starting point guard Eric Bledsoe about a comment made by Celtics point guard Terry Rozier. The question was based off of an interview done of Rozier where he accidentally called Bledsoe Drew instead of Eric. When the reporter asked Bledsoe about the comment he replied with "I don't even know who the f*** that is". 

It was very interesting to me that Bledsoe would respond this way especially when defended by eachother in the series through two games Rozier has 20 points on Bledsoe while shooting 7-12 from the field. While on the other hand Bledsoe has only scored 8 points on Rozier while shooting 4-13 from the field. And with the game on the line in game one Rozier crossed Bledsoe and hit a go a head three on Bledsoe to put the Celtics up 108-105

Buffalo Bills Draft Situation

My favorite NFL team, the Buffalo Bills are in a very tough spot heading into this upcoming draft. the surprise retirement of starting center Eric Wood in the beginning of he off season was just the tip of the iceberg for the Bills. what then followed was a trade of heir starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a second round pick. then during free agency period they lost their leading tackler Preston Brown to the Bengals and Jordan Mathews to the Patriots. These two leaving caused major holes to open up on both the offense and defense. To make it worse, this past week starting offensive lineman and pro bowler Richie Incognito retired thus depleting the offensive line even more. This whole situation makes this upcoming draft a very tough situation for the Bills because of their determined plans to trade up in the draft and take a hopeful franchise quarterback. But now with the all the gaping holes on the team it seems like they will be unable to do so, and i hope that they do not trade up. This is my stance on the topic because trading up into the top 5 to take one of the top quarterbacks in this draft would cost the Bills way to much. I think that the best way for them to improve the team is just to take the best player available for a position that they need, whether that be Wide Receiver, Quarterback, Offensive lineman or Linebacker 

NBA Champion Prediction

I think that this year, it is the Houston Rockets championship to lose. The main reason why i think they will win this year is because of all the injuries that have occurred to the Golden State Warriors. The west has always been a tough conference to come out of and i think that if the Rockets do make it out of the west they will definitely be able to beat whatever eastern conference team they would face. the only reason why they might lose to an eastern conference team is because the western conference finals could be more competitive than the actual finals since it would most likely be between the Rockets and Warriors. If the Rockets do win they might take any eastern conference opponent lightly or be too tired from the conference finals and lose that way. But with the best regular season and the possible MVP in James Harden they should be able to win the finals this year. they are also heading into the playoffs healthy and when they have had their big three of Harden, CP3, Capela have been 43-2 when they have all played together. 

Kyrie Irving

As a Boston Celtics fan my heart dropped a little but yesterday after hearing the news that Kyrie Irving would be sidelined the rest of the season after having knee surgery to remove the screws located in it. This caused him to be out for 4-5 months thus ending his chances to come back for the playoffs. Although i am very saddened by the news as a Celtics fan because i wanted them to be able to compete deep into the playoffs this year i am not mad at the precautions that are being taken by the Celtics organization and Kyrie Irving. After the whole Isaiah Thomas issue that occurred around him not having the proper time to heal from his injury i think that had a great impact on the Celtics thoughts going through this process as well as Irving since he was able to see how the injury not being fully healed has impacted IT this season. I also like this decision to sit out and get better because odds are the Celtics wouldn't have mad that deep of a run in to the playoffs anyways especially with how the Raptors have been playing and then LeBron James has always caused problems for Boston in the past. I think that this season was a great success and i am happy with the way that the team played especially after turning around their roster from last year and losing Gordon Hayward during the first game. Now that Kyrie is done i hope that Boston loses in the first round of the playoffs so they will be able to get a better draft pick in this upcoming draft and make moves to either trade for a player or trade up in the draft and take one of promising big men/stretch forwards that are available this upcoming draft.
